I went for an early run on Sunday. The Weiss' home is in a rural part of Bern evidenced by the rich soil, fields of corn, cows and other wildlife.

This morning I saw a huge fox which studied me for a moment, then ran for his life. He was bigger than an desert coyote I often see in Arizona

South of Bern is the city of Thun, and a little further, the smaller city of Spiez. Hiking into the vineyards above the town gave us some breathtaking views.
